Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, a technical college in the Wisconsin Technical College System, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. WITC is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
WITC also holds program-specific accreditation by: The Wisconsin Division of Health, the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing, Wisconsin Educational Approval Board for Veteran's Training, the Department of Justice Training and Standards, the Dietary Manager Association, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, and the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services Bureau of Quality Assurance.
WITC meets established
standards and is approved for the instruction of veterans, orphans of war
veterans, state and federal rehabilitation students, and members of the
workforce needing training or retraining. WITC meets the definition of an
institution of higher education, and students are entitled to participate in
federal financial assistance programs.
