How to Apply
If you would like
to receive financial aid, you will need to apply for financial aid at least 12
weeks before the start of the semester you are planning to attend. Otherwise,
you may miss out on receiving available grant money. We highly recommend that
you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at least 12
weeks prior to the semester starting to ensure that your financial aid is
processed before classes start.
To apply for financial aid, you will need to complete a Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at
www.fafsa.ed.gov.
You will need to sign your FAFSA online with your pin number. If you are a
dependent student, you and a parent will need to sign the FAFSA online with a
pin number. Students and parents may obtain a pin number at
www.pin.ed.gov.
Apply for financial aid at least six months before you expect to enroll.
Paying for College
Several days before the start of each term, registered students will be mailed a statement of account from WITC. It will list tuition and fee charges, billing authorizations, and anticipated financial aid. In the event that a student’s financial aid, billing authorization, or personal payment does not fully cover the tuition and fee charges, students must pay the balance or make satisfactory payment arrangements with WITC seven days prior to the first day of the term.
IMPORTANT: If you have registered for a class or classes, you have created a liability, and a promise to pay. If you do not attend classes, you will be charged for a percentage of your tuition. WITC will drop “no show” students and students for nonpayment of fees on the 8th day of the term. Charges will be re-calculated using the State mandated Fee Refund Policy and the remaining fees are the student’s responsibility. Click here for WITCs full payment policy.
